I’ve been traveling the last few years. Looking to settle down, tired of moving from job to job, accumulating household things then selling or giving it away only to repeat at the next town. I fell in love with the Midwest lifestyle. Hard work, land, animals, crops, creeks and rivers! I like to collect stuff like old boards and give them new life. Thrift stores are awesome, I’m low maintenance. I love old cast iron skillets, mason jars, pretty rocks (lol), searching creeks and rivers for old bottles and fossils.
I’m not afraid to get dirty and Im a great swimmer and I love to wade in a creek or cool off in a nice clean river, lake or (sometimes) pond. I don’t like spiders but I like snakes. They are misunderstood.
I like to help people. Well, I’m a nurse let’s hope so. I most always find the bright side to everything and everyone. I have empathy and compassion and a God given ability to see hurting people and do what I can to acknowledge their pain and offer a kind word or a helping hand.
In past relationships it seems to have been a problem or irritation that I seem to go to the defense of people I don’t know, mainly in conversation. Like something negative might be said about someone and I try to defend them even though I don’t know them. I don’t know why I do that. Maybe partly because I don’t judge a book by it’s cover.
My roots/blood is from Virginia for generations. I am a free spirit, will dive in at times without checking the water level, and tend to give things away.
In my fantasy world, I would have a animal rescue farm if I had the land or I would have emergency domestic violence shelter for women with pets. Or I would have a big house on a farm where a couple mentally ill but functional and not violent would live with my family so they could get out of the state mental hospital. Sounds crazy huh🤫
